An English Quality Sparkling Wine.
England has a very suitable climate for sparkling wine
production and many an English Quality Sparkling Wine has been
praised internationally.
Lovejoy is a lively East Anglian
bottle fermented sparkler with refreshing acidity and
excellent yeasty character from its two years spent on the
lees in the cellar. The wine has achieved a Gold Medal for
East Anglian Regional Wine in 2005 and is mentioned in Tom
Stevenson's book on Champagnes for the Millennium. The grapes
used are Orion and Chardonnay which allow the yeasty flavours
and not the grape flavours to dominate.
